Verne assists churches in dealing with common church issues like budgeting, accountability, stewardship, minister taxation, IRS compliance and unfortunately the need to protect against fraud.
Verne stays closely involved with the church and ministry community, regularly speaking at seminars. His speaking engagements include presentations to various local chapters of The Church Network ("TCN") as well as the TCN's National Convention. He is also a regular lecturer at the TCN’s annual Church Business Administrator Certification Seminar. Verne has also written articles for various ministry publications as well as a book on fraud prevention “Weeds in the Garden”.
A native of Arlington, Verne has been with the firm for 35 years. He started his accounting career with a Dallas firm, but jumped at the chance to come home when the opportunity arose at PSK.
