Rusty Pickens
Managing Partner

With almost 40 years of service at PSK, Rusty serves as managing partner for the firm. He works with small business owners in manufacturing, distribution, and professional services—and considers many of them close, personal friends.

Since joining the firm in his senior year of college, Rusty has never left PSK. Due to rapid growth, he became a shareholder in 1973, deepening his long-term dedication to the firm’s success. He continues to give 100 percent to every business owner he serves and makes each one feel like the most important client of the firm. Even more than accounting itself, what he really enjoys is impacting people’s lives through business.

Rusty also serves the entire PSK team, which he thinks of as family. Enthusiastic about helping people find their passion, he encourages interns and professionals to develop a career path and reach their goals. He genuinely cares about the team; each day he walks through the building, greeting every person by name and sends out a firm-wide email in the morning with a motivational, inspirational, or humorous thought for the day.
