Bryan Baughman
Audit Principal
As an audit principal, Bryan is responsible for supervising staff, reviewing work completed by his team, reviewing and drafting audit reports, and ensuring client deadlines are met. He performs audits and reviews for clients in construction, manufacturing, and the church and nonprofit sector.
After each of Bryan’s audits, he works with the client to identify areas that need improvement and suggest possible enhancements. On one project, he collaborated with the Department of Labor to reduce a client’s total of $85,000 in 401k-related penalties and late charges down to only $1,200.
Bryan’s clients benefit from his combination of patience, technical knowledge, and his strong desire to make a helpful impact by delivering useful solutions. Spending a semester overseas in college also helped develop his outlook in life and in business, by teaching him to be open minded and accepting of ideas and philosophies different from his own.
Originally planning to be a “fancy stockbroker,” Bryan took an accounting class in college and found himself doing well where others were struggling. The professor offered him a bet that if he got an A in the class, Bryan would have to change his major to accounting. He still wonders if the professor fudged the grade just to make him switch.
