Dan Williams
Audit Partner
Providing audits and business consultation to nonprofit organizations, Dan uses his significant experience with churches and related ministries to conduct financial audits, develop internal controls and accounting policies and procedures, and determine compliance with the IRS and other applicable requirements.
Dan understands churches from the inside out—he was a Catholic priest for 16 years in the Fort Worth Diocese prior to joining the firm as an intern in 1995. Combining his background with his desire to really listen to people, he can help a client serve its core mission while using good business practices that safeguard assets, as well as the integrity of the organization.
Working for the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, Dan has assisted in planning and implementing an annual Agreed Upon Procedures Review process, developed a uniform chart of accounts for all parishes and schools, and given guidance in selecting accounting software to be used by all diocese entities. He’s also served the Fort Worth Diocese, creating an Administrative Procedures Handbook for all parishes and schools.
