Brent West
Audit Senior
Focusing on the church and not-for-profit sectors, Brent provides auditing and consulting services to a variety of clients. Originally not intending to pursue an accounting career, he started as a part-time intern at PSK while working on his MBA. However, he found it so fulfilling he decided to stay and become an accountant.
Brent appreciates clients who take a proactive approach to improving their accounting policies and procedures. He’s helped several clients design procedures and develop new methodologies that made business operate more smoothly. Knowing the potential for loss and the damage it can cause, he finds satisfaction in helping businesses avoid running into trouble.
Prior to joining PSK, Brent was an elementary school teacher, first in Taiwan—where he grew up as the son of Southern Baptist missionaries—and then in the Fort Worth Independent School District.
Having traveled to more than 40 states and 20 countries in his lifetime, Brent brings a global perspective to this Texas firm. He knows the importance of treating everyone equally and that character and attitude aren’t defined by geography.
Inspired by the support of his wife and children, Brent believes in putting the needs of others before your own. He finds great benefit in relating to all of his professional contacts not as coworkers or clients, but as friends.
